Initial Teacher Training 

We work with our strategic partners in order to provide high quality training for trainee teachers and an excellent educational experience for our pupils.

We remain at the forefront of ITT ensuring that every trainee has a high quality experience. Trainees value their training and frequently remain in CBC when they enter the teaching profession. Our training supports positive recruitment to the area across all phases.

• Between 70 and 80% of trainees (approximately 50 per year) have been employed in our partnership schools – based in Central Bedfordshire and in Bedford Borough.

We work with a number of different programmes including:

• PGCE
• School Direct (salaried/tuition fee)
• QTS/Assessment only route
